This hip hop artist from Jacksonville has a sick flow and lyrical style that quickly catches the ear of new listeners. Kobey keeps a head on his shoulder as he seeks to climb the music industry ladder. Sometimes the hustle is all about busting ass and maybe we should all be a little more real about what that looks like. Kobey approaches that realness on both his song and in his music video for “Substance”. And, as a person of Jewish descent raised in the Southern half the U.S., I have to offer a nod to another of my convoluted heritage. It’s good to stay level headed in a crazy world, be it the rap game or the year 2020, and Kobey’s got that down. Check out “Substance” here…
