Okay, so, truthfully? When I first got this music video from London Van Rooy (of Small Leaks Sink Ships) via his new music endeavor and hit play, I was taken aback. And, like, not in a good way. But I gave it a moment and let the song play. Sometimes new things are jarring and this new single was a little bit extra abrasive because that is part of its aesthetic: gritty, industrial, post-human, maybe a touch insane. “Taking Chances” gives music lovers something that veers away from the norm in unexpected ways. KULT KRIMES should be heard, but enter this realm with a mind open to new experiences.
