“In Fiction”
This trio of badass rockers from Zürich just dropped a split single with another Swiss band, The Flying Tiger Claw, earlier this month. This garage-pop-rock act has that magic mix of insolence and mirth over heavily textured guitars to make this my kind of summer jam. BATBAIT reminds me a bit of Courtney Barnett on the vocal end with a little more roughhousing in the underlying instrumentation. What’s not to love? The music video for “In Fiction” by BATBAIT is awesome too. Fun and feisty and, also like the single, it comes in partnership with a track from The Flying Tiger Claw so, if you stick around after the song closes, you’ll catch the flipside track on the video too.
