CJ Jacobson, I sing and play guitar for Paper Foxes.
How long have you been making music?
About 13 years.
What was your favorite show of all the shows you’ve ever played?
Probably when we opened for Snake! Snake! Snakes! Last December. They’ve been one of my biggest local influences since I was in high school.
What would be your dream lineup/location?
My dream lineup would be to play Red Rocks with New Order, Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem.
What are you listening to during this period of social distancing?
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of De Lux, Twin Ritual, Nite Lapse, James Blake, the Slashes and Demi Lovato.
What are you binge watching/reading?
Shows I’ve been binging: Atlanta, The Righteous Gemstones, Barry, Tiger King and The Office. Been trying to read Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates by Tom Robbins but I can’t seem to focus on books right now.
What else are you doing with these extra hours at home? Extra creative time?
I work at a dispensary, we’ve actually gotten busier since all this has started so I’ve been working more. Haven’t really had “extra” time for anything.
If you could Facetime/Skype anyone in the world for an extended convo right now, who would it be? Facetime or Skype?
I’ve always felt incredibly awkward on FaceTime, but I guess I’d hit up Peter Hook.
Favorite food you can make at home?
Shrimp Tacos.
Are you currently working on any new musical projects? If so, what?
I’ve been kind of working on a synth wave EP. I’m not really sure what will come of it. No title or anything.
